This is a dramatic reading of Prince Doran’s speech about how a good ruler protects his people from war, and whether the Sandsnakes are worthy successors to their father, the Red Viper. It is taken from Areo Hotah’s chapter (The Watcher) in A Dance with Dragons (book 5 of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire saga).
